We recently learned of the passing of Brother Bill Kerr of Beta Mu Chapter. Bill passed away June 19, 2021.

His online obituary can be found here. Bill was proud enough of his membership in Gamma Delta Psi to mention it in his obituary. Brother Barry Yeates, Beta Mu Chapter believes that Bill was a charter member of Beta Mu Chapter at Royal York Collegiate in Etobicoke, ON. He later went on to serve on the International Board of Control as Northern Vice President.

B C.  He was also my brother and friend who lived across the street from me on the Queensway in Toronto his mom also repaired my cut hand because there where no hospitals around then . Once a brother always a brother. I will miss him greatly.”

“Gone but not forgotten as they say. Brother Bill and I served together as Northern and Southern Vice Presidents respectively in 1963-64…with Brother Bob Guthrie at the helm. Those were special days…amongst an extraordinarily wonderful brotherhood of young men…and I was particularly privileged to know and to work with Brother Bill Kerr. Bill stayed with my family during one of his visits to our Beta Alpha Chapter…and attended a Gamma Delta Psi Sweetheart Ball during his visit. Darn near every girl at the dance swooned over “that good-lookin’ boy from Canada!” I was just thrilled to have someone at the dance that was two inches shorter than me. Rest in eternal peace and comfort Brother Bill…you will long be remembered, respected and revered amongst the Fraternal Brotherhood of Gamma Delta Psi.”
