The Spirit of Baseball is an inner city baseball clinic sponsored by several civic organizations in Henrico and Richmond, VA. The camp teaches the basics of baseball while bringing an anti-gang message to the kids. The camp is free to children from 7 to 13 years old. Each player receives a free hat, ball, shirt, glove, Bible and lunch–

Since its beginning 19 years ago, the camp has enjoyed support from Gamma Delta Psi and Gamma Psi with volunteers and donations–in kind and in cash—our letters appear on all of the volunteer and player shirts.

This year we are asking for help in replacing 40 gloves which were given to kids last year. If you would like to send a glove, 11, 11.5 or 12 inch gloves work the best–if you would like to fund a glove (or more than one) our wholesale source provides them to us at roughly $20 US per glove (+/- $28 CDN). Checks can be made out to Gayton Baptist Church (they manage our books) with Spirit of Baseball in the note–checks and gloves can be mailed to 13501 N. Gayton Road, Henrico, Virginia 23233

Beta Xi Chapter, St. Catharines Collegiate, is holding their 4th annual reunion, May 9, 2026, 2:00 pm, at The Lucky Penny at 333 Merritt St (Merritton) in St. Catharines, ON. Every year this is a well attended event. Hope to see you there!!
