Congratulations to Brother Ron Hurst, Gamma Nu 6c on being named Chair, Board of Trustees, Preservation Virginia. If you’ve visited the Cape Henry Lighthouse, Bacon’s Castle, Historic Jamestowne, Smith’s Fort, Scotchtown or the John Marshall House, you’ll be happy to know that Ron is overseeing their management. A 1972 graduate of Hayfield HS and later Va Tech, Ron’s day job is at Colonial Williamsburg where he serves as Chief Mission Officer and Senior Vice-President for Museums, Preservation and Historic Resources. Ron was inducted into GDP at the 1970 Park Motor Hotel Convention in Niagara Falls. Just one year later, Ron and Brother Bob Hammersley “7c” at age 17 were co-chairs of the 1971 Convention at the Holiday Inn-Alexandria VA, responsible for site planning, registration, banquet and award ceremony. Best wishes for continued success Brother Hurst.
