Greetings Brothers.

It is with deep sadness that I share this Obituary for Brother Alton Larue “Sid” Gwaltney, Jr., Gamma Delta Psi – Beta Alpha Brother # 55, who passed into our Nirvana Chapter on Sept. 3, 2021 at the age of 79 in Naples, Florida from COVID19.

Thanks to Bro.Col. Rick Davis for finding the obituary in a Roanoke, Virginia newspaper and to Bro. Bill Schmitt for forwarding it to me.

Bro. Sid was a dear personal friend and a towering figure in Gamma Delta Psi during much of his lifetime. There’s no better way to remember Brother Sid than to say,

“ONCE A BROTHER – ALWAYS A BROTHER”.

Rest in Eternal Peace Brother Sid. You will never be forgotten.
